Az ezután született műkritikák egyike szerint a tondó olyan magas kvalitást képvisel, amely a magyarországi vidéki múzeumok gyűjteményében egyedülálló (Ibos 2008). Az augusztus 10-ig tartó időszaki bemutató alatt a kiállított restaurálási fotódokumentációkon nyomon követhetőek voltak a helyreállítás munkafázisai; a végeredmény összevethető volt a tondó 1925. évi „renoválásának” állapotával.
