Történelem–História - Marosvári Attila: Az 1956-os forradalom makói eseményeinek periodizációja

MAROSVÁRI ATTILA Az 1956-os forradalom makói eseményeinek periodizációja Periodization of the Makó events of the 1956 Revolution The history of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 has meant the processing of the publications so far, based mainly on the various materials of trials and state security documents after the retaliations following the revolution. It is largely credible that it can be reconstructed according to a work by László Bálint published in 2006. (1956. A Forradalom Makón, Szeged, 2006). There are, of course, a large number of outstanding issues that require further research, but it can be stated that the available primary source material is poor, novelties are expected from the systematic processing of the records of the former communist state parties, of the MDP and MSZMP, and the overview of the remaining documents of various urban plants, co-operatives and institutions. Along with this deficiency, our current knowledge is also capable of drawing certain sectional boundaries to the Makó events. Although we are talking about only a few days, and the events were not so diverse and overwhelming as in the larger cities, it can be perceived that local processes were not homogeneous, the situation - primarily due to the national, mainly to the Budapest and Szeged events - also changed here, which led to the change of direction of the various participants and organizations, the change of their relationship to the situation. Even these differences in the sections may be distinguished, even if they meant only a shade of change, and changes in the individuals may have been shifted to another period of time. This does not weaken our experiment of periodization, but only confirms that the different phases are an integral part of a process and cannot be excluded from it. However, if we carry out this internal periodization, understanding of the events and contextu- alization can be helped greatly. Based on this, the events of the Makó revolutionary events can be divided into five phases: • Days of preparation (23rd -26th October) • Days of spontaneous mass demonstrations (26th -28th October) • Days of creation of new revolutionary people's bodies (29th -31st October) • Days of consolidation (1st -4th November) • The last days of the Revolution (4th -9th November) The study focuses on the events of the aforementioned stages and features, takes into account of the reactions of various rebellious revolutionaries and of certain groups of society, re-interpreting the revelation of the revolution so far in more aspects. 239
