Történelem–História - Tóth István: Szeberényi Lajos Zsigmond főesperes és a szlovák nyelv használata
TOTH ISTVÁN Szeberényi Lajos Zsigmond főesperes és a szlovák nyelv használata Archdeacon Zsigmond Lajos Szeberényi and the use of Slovakian language The study deals with Zsigmond Lajos Szeberényi's, dean of Békés, later archdeacon bond to the Slovakian language, and the relationship of this bond and the evangelical believers in his autobiographies and manuscripts of his published studies. For this purpose, the author used the documents from the Szeberényi-Hodzsa family from the collection of the Mihály Munkácsy Museum, Békéscsaba, the documents of the Szekerka heritage, which were previously collected by the author on behalf of the then curator of the museum. He could successfully use resources from both County and National Archives in his work. The study is not a duplicate. It is purposefully designed for the author's anniversary. Especially since members of the Szeberényi family, András and Lajos (both older than Zsigmond Szeberényi L. - uncles) after the War of Independence they had to flee as they made the Slovak mutation of Kossuth's People's Newspaper, and one of their stations in exile was Makó's evangelical community. It is apparent from the article that no nationalism had led to the use of the consistent Slovak language, but the right and principle to use the mother tongue formulated by Luther Márton in the ecclesiastical life.
