The car of the 20th century: the Model T designed by Joseph Galamb The Makó-born Joseph Galamb was the chief designer of the world's first mass-produced motor vehicle, of the Ford Model T that was chosen be the car of the 20th century. Joseph Galamb’s revolutionary new design - of which over 15 million cars were produced - made it possible to manufacture affordable, reliable automobiles easy to drive. The study shows how Ford Model T was born, tells about the role of Joseph Galamb and the technical characteristics of the car, emphasizing the innovative solutions Galamb used. We also highlight that this resounding success can clearly be attributed to Joseph Galamb's genius. Without it, the car surely wouldn't have become so quickly an everyday article available to everyone. 25
