A Móra Ferenc Múzeum Évkönyve: Studia Naturalia 5. (Szeged, 2009)
Summary
About the fauna of the region There should be a separate survey to publish all the examinations of insects. So here only the fauna of beetles is introduced from the point of view of conservation. Some zoogeographical trends on the basis of the spreading of carabus genus and its subspecies Most of the carabus species connected to the pusztas of "Ancient Mátra" character migrated from the Northern Medium Mountains through the yellow soils around the Danube to the south of the line of Kiskunfélegyháza. A similar occurence can be observed of the forest (silvanus) species. The population which originated from carabus cancellatus durus moved to a little more southern region - as it was told before - but it did not pass the marshland. So far only two subspieces of the big carabid beetles were described here, but the carabus cancellatus also has a subtype in the Danube-Tisza Mid-region. Coleoptarans (Coleoptera) and beetles (Cerambicidae) linked to the grass and tree communities of the region Only those species from the fauna of Capricorn beetles are described which could be necessary for a future plan of maintaining the area. These are the following: species of sand pusztas Vadonia steveni (Sperk, 1835) Dorcadion decipiens Germar Species of sand- and loess pusztas Cardoria scutellata (Fabricius 1792) willow grow es Glaphyra salicicola (Stiller 1934) Planted white and grey poplar forests Saperda perforata (Pallas 1773) planted oak forests Hesperophanes (Trichoferus) pallidus (Olivier 1790)
