FÓTHI Erzsébet – LŐRINCZY Gábor – MARCSIK Antónia: Régészeti és antropológiai kapcsolat az eurázsiai steppe és egy kora avar kori, kárpát-medencei népesség között

On the basis of the metric and morphologic pictures of destorted skulls, it can be established that the anthropological (taxonomic) types of the community are of Europid (60%), Europo-Mongolid (20%), and the less percent are of Mongolids (20%). Distorted skulls do not deviate from non-deformed specimens either on the basis of anthropological characteristics, such as the results of taxonomic analysis, stature, anatomical variations, developmental anomalies and pathological alterations. Both on the basis of their anthropological type and the shape of deformation close analogies have been found among the populations of Najma-Tolgoj (Mongolia), Kenkol (Kirgizia) from the Hun period, those of Kos-Asar and Tompac-Asar (Lake Aral region) representing the JetyAsar culture and among the population of probable Hun origin who integrated with the Sarmatian and the Gepidian population in the territory of Hungary.
