NAGY Ádám – UJSZÁSZI Róbert: Közöletlen szegedi szükségpénz változatok a Móra Ferenc Múzeum Éremtárából
ÁDÁM NAGY - RÓBERT UJSZÁSZI UNPUBLISHED VARIANTS OF TEMPORARY MONEY FROM SZEGED At the end of the 1910s larger towns in Hungary issued temporary money with the permission of the ministry. This action was motivated by the high rate of inflation and the lack of change. Their example was followed by small and large local companies, restaurants, pharmacies and other shops. Temporary money issuing was comparatively frequent in Szeged. As a result of inflation and lack of similar paper several issuers published more than one type of money. Several subtypes could be recorded according to the issuing date, the type of paper, the authorizing stamps and signatures. Present study introduces 40 types of temporary money. Several of them are published here for the first time, while others were mentioned without photo documentation.
