IRÉN FÁRI - TEODÓRA PÁL ETHNIC GERMAN DWELLERS OF KÜBEKHÁZA IN THE REMOVAL RECORDS AND PARISH REGISTERS Kübekháza was founded in the mid-19th century as a tobacco plantation community. Simultaneously 19 simüar settlements were founded in the Torontál district. After the Trianon Peace Treaty the settlement became a periphery in the southern corner of Csongrád County. The ethnic composition of the village was simüar to that of the other settlements of Torontál County. One third of the population was ethnic German. Present study alms at revealing the changing processes within the German community analysing data from the population removal records and the Roman Catholic parish records.
