Szűcs Judit: „Csongrád népélete” című állandó kiállítás forgatókönyve

Script of the standing exhibition "The daily life of Csongrád" by JUDIT SZŰCS The archaeological, historical and ethnographic sections of the new standing exhibition at the László Tari Museum in Csongrád each provide an insight into Bronze Age culture, the history of the city of Csongrád and the daily life of the city. The ethnographic section has been open to the public since 2002. The exhibition occupying a floor space of 53 m 2 offers the visitor a unique glimpse of river life along the River Tisza (the life of fishermen, ferrymen, carpenters, millers and navvies), agriculture (including animal husbandry, farming, market gardening, fruit growing, viticulture and winemaking), rare crafts, home furnishings, and traditional local wear. The objects and photos on display have been selected from the ever-growing ethnographic and photo collections of the local museum. The five temporary ethnographic exhibitions held between 1990 and 2000 were the prelude to the standing exhibition opened to the public in 2002. The spatial limitations of the exhibition only permitted a rather sketchy and mosaic-like arrangement of the individual topics. The space beneath the showcases and in front of the photos readily lends itself to the open display of exhibition materials. The high ceilings of the showrooms also made it possible for some photos of friezes to be hung over the showcases. These blow-ups illustrate and help broaden our understanding of the topics to which the individual showcases are devoted. 283
