A Móra Ferenc Múzeum Évkönyve: Studia Ethnographicae 1. (Szeged, 1995)

Szerkesztői előszó A magyarországi múzeumok évkönyvei között 1956-tól a szegedi Móra Ferenc Múzeum évkönyve is megjelenik. Az évkönyv idővel a megye muzeológiájának kiadványa lett. Közel 40 év után rájöttünk, hogy a közös kötet kereteit „kinőttük". Az évkönyvet 5 szekcióra, 5 kötetre bontottuk. Ebből egy a néprajzi. Az első önálló néprajzi kötetben a publikáló szerzők többségükben fő kutatási területük részeredményeit mutatják be a gazdálkodás, társadalom, népi gyógyítás, gyermekélet, temetőkultúra és népi Jogszokások témaköreiben. A két utóbbi témakörben forrásközlést teszünk közzé. Ezek további kutatás alapjául szolgálhatnak. A kötet végén szereplő írás a népi díszítőművészet és a restaurálás egy határkérdését vizsgálja. Örülök, hogy szerkesztőként a 2 forrásközlés és a restaurálás kérdéseit taglaló cikk esetében nem szokványos publikációk megjelentetésénél is bábáskodhattam. Reméljük, hogy a Jövőben anyagi helyzetünktől függően periodikaként hírt adhatunk a megyében folyó néprajzi munkáról! Szűcs Judit The editor's foreword Among the annuals of the Hungarian museums, that of the Móra Ferenc Museum of Szeged has also been published since 1956. This yearbook later on became the publication of the museology of the county. After approximately 40 years we have realised that we have grown out of this common frame. For this reason the annual has been divided into 5 sections, 5 volumes. One of these is concerned with ethnography. The first self-contained volume on ethnography mostly contains articles describing the authors' main research areas including the topics of farming, society, popular healing, life of children, cemetary-culture, and popular customs of law. This time we are also issuing source publications on the last two of the above topics. These may serve as a basis for further research. The paper at the end of the volume discusses borderline questions of ornamentation and restoration. It was my pleasure as an editor to assist in the publication of noncustomary papers: the two source publications, and the paper discussing restoration. We hope that in the future, depending on our financial conditions, we may be able to inform those interested of the ethnographic research made in the county in the form of a periodical! Judit Szűcs 5
