grave-markers with oral cross-section instead of rectangular. Several versions of the "buttoned" grave-marker were developed by combining different carvings called "button", "peach", and "half-button". A lot of "buttoned" grave-markers were produced at the end of the 19th, and in beginning of the 20th century, but hardly any in the 1920's and 1930's. Throughout the whole period examined some naive home-carved "buttoned" grave-markers were produced. The number of simpler grave-markers ~ boards, columns instead of "buttoned" grave-markers - has been increasing since the beginning of the century. In the end all such grave-markers have been superseded by artificial tomb-stones. 128
