Ferenc Apró The birth house of Dugonics The birth house of Dugonics Ferenc Apró The birth house of outstanding writer from Szeged, András Dugonics (1740-1818), was demolished in 1910. The little house used to stand at what is currently the North West corner of Osztróvszky and Dugonics Street. The memorial plaque on the house (1876) was relocated to the wall of the newly built civic school for girls (1913). The birth house is mentioned by various sources with István Tömörkény, Ferenc Móra, Mihály Cserzy and József Pásztor among others. 146
