Anikó Vukov Folk Medical Data in the Ethnographic Repository of the Móra Ferenc Museum II. Folk Medical Data in the Ethnographic Repository of the Móra Ferenc Museum II. Anikó Vukov In the present writing I continue reviewing the ethnographic repository of the Móra Ferenc Museum pertaining to folk medical date, while presenting collections from Makó, Apátfalva and Csanádpalota. Between 1974 and 2002, nine collections pertaining to folk medicine of Makó and its surrounding were admitted to the ethnographic repository of MFM. Out of these, three were authored by groups (attendants of the knowledge of homeland camp, professional group of collector) and six were authored by individuals (Kálmán Asztalos R, György Szigeti, Dénes Bazsó, Ilona Nagyfalusi); Ethnographic collector István Sipos from Makó drew up two applications. The authors are informants and they gained data from their own recollections and one application got us acquainted with a handwritten book of recipes. Several researchers have been dealing with the folk medicine of Makó and its surrounding settlements. Getting to know the 115 kinds of illnesses, 228 herbs and 198 cures recorded in the repository’s materials supplement our knowledge of the region’s folk medicine. 352
