The study pre­sents the restoration of two documents. Both documents are from the bequest of an hon­oured citizen of Szeged, István Kopasz, master builder. One of the documents is a discharge letter issued in 1893 with contemporary hand­writing and a stamp on it, over which later a remark was written in ink. The other document to be analysed was typed and stamped in 1912, and later texts were written on it in ink of sev­eral colours and also with pencil. 529
