Anikó Veronika Vukov Presenting a Hand-written Book - Examples of Folklorization at the End of the 19th Century Presenting a Hand-written Book - Examples of Folklorization at the End of the 19th Century Anikó Veronika Vukov The study presents cases of folklorization (a phenomenon when works of high literature get into the course of folklore creation) by analysing the hand-written song book of a soldier. The book was made in the last third of the 19th century, including the works of popular poets of the period, such as Gvadányi, Petőfi, Csokonai, Berzsenyi. Literature considers soldier poetry, and in fact soldier life, as a conveyor of public poetry. Present paper analyses the relation between the processes of "intermediate literature” and that of folklorization. Drawing on the examples of the manuscript, the study outlines the most remarkable tendencies of public poetry at the end of the 19th century. First, the cultural historical relations of songbooks are discussed, then manuscripts of peasant culture are presented, its genres are defined, also the research history of public poetry and its definition is provided. This is followed by the introduction of lyric remarks, and the term of folkloralization is defined, as well as its possible applications are listed. As a result of text analysis, the interrelations between folk poetry, public poetry and professional poetry are restored. Finally, present study discusses how manuscripts may be put on display in museums, also touching upon digital procession as a possibility. 522
