Grin Igor: A nemzetiségi néprajzi gyűjtemény

A kezdetektől tetten érhető, meglehetősen egyoldalú szlovák orientáció az első hetven év alatt nemkívánatos gyűjteményi arányokhoz vezetett: a népi kultúra felhalmozott tárgyi emlékei igen kevéssé tükrözték a megye etnikai sokszínűségét. A hetvenes években, 1973-1978 között, a gyűjtemény magyar anyagának gazdagítására Beck Zoltán tett jelentős erőfeszítéseket. 1975-től több sikeres recepciós tábort szervezett az egykor Dél-Biharhoz tartozott magyar népességű települések szellemi hagyományainak és tárgyi emlékanyagának az összegyűjtésére. Számottevő magyar anyag megszerzése fűződik Gulyás Eva 19711972. évi és L. Sinkó Rozália 1982-1983 között végzett gyűjtéseihez is. Lanti Eszter és Ando György nevéhez a megyei szlovákság kutatásához tartozó 1977. évi és 1989-től folyamatos tárgyi gyűjtés kapcsolódik. Grin Igor 1971 óta végzett, a románok és a szerbek tárgyi emlékanyagára irányuló gyűjtésével és Csobai Lászlóné román gyűjtése által a néprajzi gyűjtemény hívebben tükrözi a megye etnikai arányait. A gyűjteményfejlesztési munkában a hetvenes évek elejétől tapasztalható súlyponteltolódás eredményeképpen valamennyi nemzetiség gyűjteménybeli képviselete megvalósult, s az évtized végére megszületett az első. Békés megye összes etnikai csoportját bemutató állandó történeti-néprajzi kiállítás.

13 In the seventies, between 1973-1978. Zoltán Beck made significant efforts to enrich the Hungarian materials of the collection. From 1975 he organised more successful reception-camp for collecting the spiritual traditions and material relics of the Hungarian population of the settlements which had belonged to the South-Bihar heretofore. In 19/1-1972 Eva Gulyás, in 1982-1983 Rozália L. Sinkó could also acquire considerable amount of Hungarian material during their collection. In research of the Slovak population of the county Eszter La mi and Gvôrgy Ando carried out collections in 1977 and they have done this work permanently

7 from since 1989. Thanks to the collection of Igor Grin, which has been carried out since 1971, dealing with the material relics of the Roumanians and Serbs, and thanks to the material collection of Mrs. László Csobai, relating to the Roumanian history (8944 registered items), the ethnographical-historical collection reflects more properly the ethnical proportion of the county. Owing to the change in the focus of the collecting work, all national minorities have representation in the collection, and at the end of the decade the first permanent historical-ethnographical exhibition showing all the ethnic groups of Békés County was opened.
