Gáll Erwin - Husarik, Pavel - Margineanu, Florin: A nagylaki honfoglalás kori temető megmentett leletei. Adatok a bánsági, erdélyi és partiumi honfoglalás kori lovas temetkezés szokásához

Salvaged findings from the cemetery of time of the Magyar conquest in Nadlac. Data to the custom of burying on horseback of time of the Magyar conquest of Banat, Transylvania and Partium - Erwin Gáli - Pavel Husarik - Florin Märgineanu Resume The explored site lies on a smaller mound 300 meters far northwest from Nadlac, about 150-200 meters far from the present political frontier. Dating of burying finds of Nadlac: Of course, the collected goods from the three ravaged graves give by no means a sure chronological reference regarding to good dateability of the site. Most object category came up in Nadlac was in use for a very long time from the beginning of the 10 th Century onwards up to the end of the following century (plain hairring, wire bracelet, bow, arrow tips, arrow quiver, clasp, knife and bridle-bit); consequently, it is unanalyzable chronologically. Similarly, it is also difficult to analyze the finds of such character, to which it failed to find parallel either in its closer region or in its wider region such as in the Carpathian Basin (strap distributor ring). Such objects form the third category, which it is not usual to date in the first part of the 10 th Century; the archeological science datelines its dating in/from the second half of the century. Consequently, the material of finds came up from the three graves of Nadlac dates the sites from the second half of the 10 th Century. However, further excavations are destined for settling this question more precisely (if possible) The site of Nadlac lies exactly eastward from the mouth of Mures. From the territory of Nagylak of the present Hungary, standing the nearest to the site (forming one settlement once upon a time) three finds are known: the finds of a ravaged grave of the 10 th — 11 th Centuries from the outskirts of Csanádpalota, another site on 'Vasút' (iron road) name, as well as, in 1930 a further find got into the museum of Szeged. The burying finds of the 10 th Century came up near to the site of Nadlac are the large cemetery of Sajtény and Magyarpécska on the right bank of Maros. The wide range research of the cemeteries of the 10 th — 11 th Centuries in the region should be continued further in the future as a continuation of the examination of Kürti more eastward in territories of the present Romania.
