Az éles, felhő alakban előrehaladó átalakulási front előtt néhány mm szélességben az andezit erősen prehnitesedett (ez a felvétel felső részén, világos sávként jelentkezik). A finom szemcsés, prehnites alapanyagban az átalakulás könnyebben végbemegy, míg a fenokristályokban a front kissé „lemarad" (X). The andésite contains high amount of prelmite before the sharp, cloud-like transitional front (light zone on the uppermost part of the photograph). In this fine grained prehnitic matrix the transformation is faster than in the phenocrysts (X). The lower part of the picture shows the fully developed skarn composed of euhedral vesuvianite crystals and calcite. 12. ábra.
