Accessory minerals of the Mulató Hilly Erdőbénye (NE Hungary) by Szakáll, S. & Kovács, Á. The dominant minerals of the Mulató Hill amygdaloids are SÍO2 varieties, carbonate minerals, and ferrian saponite ("mauritzite"). Accessories occurring as crystals or crusts of microscopic size are: native sulfur (?) (tiny grains in a complex granular fissure-filling matrix in manganoan calcite); marcasite (rare "Spaarkies"); magnetite (octahedral crystals, rarely intergrown with ilmenite, Figs. 1-2); ilmenite (rare flat rhombohedra, or lamellae intergrown with mag­netite, Figs. 3-4); cassiterite (1. very rare globular aggregates on ilmenite lamellae intergrown with magnetite, Figs. 5-6; 2. minute grains in a complex granular fissure-filling matrix in manganoan calcite, Fig. 7); hematite (in altered sphaerosiderite); unidentified Mn-oxide minerals; goethite (1. globular crystal aggregates on quartz, Figs. 8-10; 2. pseudomorphs after iron carbonates. The goethite pseudomorphs after manganoan siderite contain Mn.); hornblende (ferrohornblende?; prismatic or acicular crystals, Figs. 11-14); talc- and glau­conite-like clay minerals; feldspars (sanidine, Fig. 15; and sodian anorthite); apatite (carbonate-hydroxylapatite?, Fig. 17; in hexagonal prisms, Fig. 16); barite (very rare thin tables, Fig. 18); gypsum (1. submicroscopic needles with goethite or sylvite (Fig. 19); 2. minute grains in a complex granular fissure-fil­ling matrix in manganoan calcite); sylvite (submicroscopic crystals in the pores of hyalite).
