AMPHIPOEA LUCEHS FRR. /LEP. : HOCTUTDAE/ IS HEW FOR THE HUHGARIAH PAUSA FROM BORSOD COUHTY, A HD THE HUHGARIAH SPECIES OF THE GEHUS AMPHIPOEA Abstract The first part of the publication offers a surrey of the nomeclature attitudes and polemics of the Amphipoea /-Hydras ci a Gn. i -Apamea 0./ nioticans species-group, has been ranged among the subfamily Amphipyrlnae of Noctuidae. In the last 2oo years, it has been cbeared by the genital and other investigations, that the long - time used name as "nictlcans L.", or "nioticans Bork." means not a single species, but a species-group, and really includes aome different species, every one beelng very similar to the others in its external morphology. Most of these species are distributed i" the Palearctic /many species live in Asia/, but in a little species - um*-.. they live in the Necarctic Region, too. Four species /crinanensis Burr* et Pierce, oculea L. , fucosa Frr. and lucens Frr./ are known from Europe. Distribution, subspecifical problems, ethology, phenology, food plants are given mainly of the three species, living in the Carpathians and Carpathian Basin. Amphipoea lucens Frr. is a new species for the Carpathian Basin. The first specimen was collected by the auther in Hungary in the Tohonya-walley, near Jósvafő /it's in the AggtelekTornai Karst/. In the last two years, some other specimens were collected /Dr. Varga Z., the auther and light traps/, consequenthy it breads in the territony, too. The photos of the genital organs and specimens, and the characteristic marks of the species live in the Carpathians and Carpathian Basin, give a possibility to the sure knowledge of these species.
