Studios of Visual Education Summary The Herman Ottó Museum started a series of exhibitions in 1978 under the title "Studios of Visual Education". The activity of the concept, the terminological and empirical "background of the visual culture became more conspicuous in Hungary in the seventies. Its reaction confirmed and brought to the surface such unsolved problems and contradictions what -were latent ones in the special field, but the intiations of their resolving can be dated much earlier. The possibilities afforded by the exhibition "Studios of Visual Education" had been narrowed down in the correlation connected with the education and so was formed the final plan. At first the Department of Visual Education of the Hungarian Fine Art College introduced, what followed the Desingn and Art-History Departments. The introduction and the initiation at all were supported by the Ministry of Culture and Education, the specialized agencies of local administration and last but not least the specialists of the institutions exhibiting, whose enthusiastic, self-sacrificing work brought into existence these exciting, instructive and memorable exhibitions.
