P. Fischl Klára-Rebenda János Pál: Gelej-Pincehát bronzkori település-struktúrájának rekonstrukciója

In addition to the scanty Hatvan material, the trial trenches yielded the finds and features of the classical phase of the Füzesabony culture (R Br A2; Figs 4-5). The finds indicated that the uselife of the settlement corresponds to that of the cemeteries (Kemenczei 1979). A part of the Late Bronze Age finds can be assigned to the narrow range of ceramic types typical for the late Piliny culture. The remaining Late Bronze Age material corresponds to the wares used during the R Br DHa A period in the Tisza region (Figs 6-10). The pottery finds and the dual nature of the material is best matched by the find assemblages from Muhi-Princz-tanya, Oszlár-Nyárfaszög, MezőkeresztesCsincse-tanya, Jászberény-Cserőhalom and Litke. Lying on the south-eastern fringes of the Piliny distribution, the Late Bronze Age settlement was occupied during the culture's final period, marked by the transition to the Kyjatice culture. The same period saw the emergence of the Gáva culture in the Tisza region. The pottery of the communities living in the border zone between the cultures during the transitional R Br D-Ha A period reflects the traditions of both cultural complexes. Klára P.
