Pirint Andrea: Lukács Imre (1926-1997) képzőművészeti hagyatéka

Lukács was born in Miskolc, where he lived all his life. His artistic activity, however, is not restricted to Miskolc or even to Hungary alone. From the 1970s, he travelled abroad each year, especially to the Mediterranean countries. The fifteen years long artistic period which began at this time shows a focus on the beauty of the Mediterranean landscape. His paintings are filled with the atmosphere, sun-drenched landscapes and typical characters of Cyprus, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Italy and the lands of former Yugoslavia. Many of his paintings conceived in this spirit can be found in private collections abroad. Andrea Pirint 388
