wax paper and arranged in a folder. On the testimony of the reverse side of the sheets, somé of the specimens had originally been mounted on photo cardboard for presentation. The bequest included alsó 78 books, scientific journals and computer documents, manuscripts and personal papers. Following the acquisition, the collection and the books were incorporated intő the Biological CoUection of the Kazinczy Ferenc Museum, whose holdings include similar materials, such as the lichen collection of Ferenc Fóriss. Scholars now have the opportunity to study and evaluate the collection and the various documents. The collection is worthy of museum preservation because it is suitable for later scientific studies (the prepared specimens, the illustrations, and the history of mycological studies in Miskolc). The various offprints from scientific journals and the books are valuable and fill a gap in the museum's library. Most of the acquired items are alsó suitable for presentation at an exhibition.
