390 VARGA ANDRÁS ISTVÁN VÁSÁRHELYI'S COLLECTION IN THE HERMAN OTTÓ MUSEUM I (Mollusca — Mollusks) (Abstract) István Vásárhelyi (1889-1969), the collaborator of the Natural Science Museum was an outstanding collector, a genuine observer. His oevre added much to our knowledge of the fauna. His observations and results are duely represented in a rich series of popular scientific and technical scientific articles. His collection was placed into the Natural Science Collection of the Herman Ottó Museum in 1976. In the first part of his paper the author elaborated the Mollusca material of the Vásárhelyi collection. The paper contains the data of about 3,000 theses (30-35,000 pieces). After having elaborated the total material the further data will be published by the author in a later publication. András Varga
