Folkweaves
Hungarians in the Ormánság region, at the Eastern foot of the Mecsek, in Sárköz, in Szigetvidék, and Croatians along the Dráva had a high quality, refined art of weaving using a wide range of motifs. In the rest of the county weaves were simpler, only kerchiefs related to rituals were ornamented very richly with patterns learnt from weavers. At the Eastern foot of the Mecsek and in the Hegyhát region kerchiefs for the komakosár - baskets sent to the mother in childbed by the godmother and Christmas tablecloths were similar.
