RÉGÉSZET - Viktor Wéber: Settlement of the Early Urnfield period at Majs–Borza-major (Southern Transdanubia, Hungary)
A Janus Pannonius Múzeum Évkönyve ( 2017 ) 220 20.) date the Ha B1-Ha B2 periods from the second half of the 11 th to the 9 th centuries BC. ?us the settlement of Majs–Borza-major presumably existed around the 12 th-11 th centuries BC. ?e assemblage shows strong connections, besides other Transdanubian sites, to the Austrian and Slovakian sites belonging to the Čaka, BaierdorfVelatice, and Velatice-Podoli phases, but the connections with the Slovenian, Croatian, and even Bosnian sites of the same period must be emphasised, as these relations seem to be at least as important as those with the northern regions. ?e strong connections over large regions in the Late Bronze Age, shown by the similarities in the assemblages, can probably be traced back to the interactions generated by the increased trade and use of bronze ( V. Szabó 1996: 29., Váczi 2013., Váczi 2014b.). Fig 17: Dating of the assemblage from Majs–Borza-major (made by V. Weber)
