TERMÉSZETTUDOMÁNYOK - Kisbenedek Tibor: Adatok a Janus Pannonius Múzeum Természettudományi Osztálya egyenesszámyú (Orthoptera) gyűjteményéből

38 A Janus Pannonius Múzeum Évkönyve (2015) Data from the Orthoptera collection of the Janus Pannonius Museum Natural History Department Tibor Kisbenedek The Orthoptera fauna and assemblages in the southern part of Transdanubian Region are intensively studied insect group from the middle of the 80’s of the last century till the first decade of the 21st century. Due to several recent publications just only in Mecsek Mountains areas 69 species were revealed, which is more than 50% of the Hungarian Orthoptera fauna. Most of these publications are concentrating mainly on some characteristic habitats of the Mecsek Mts and Villány Hills and their surroundings. However in Baranya and Somogy counties there are other characteristic small landscapes with diversified habitat types. For this reasons are expectable the occurrences of some new species. In the present study collection data of the Orthoptera specimens from the store of the Janus Pannonius Museum Natural History Department are publicated. The taxonomic system of the collection is following the recently set up systemic categories of the Saltatoria superorder, which are containing the ordos Ebnsifera and Caelifera. 62 species could be proved, which were chiefly derived from three geographical regions such as Villány Hills, Mecsek Mts and Barcs Protected Landscape Area, herewith adding new localities to so far known sites. Our Orthoptera collection could be a basic point for a next relevant Orthoptera collection related to Southern Part of Transdanubia. The data of our Orthoptera collection can improve our conception on species composition and species presence of the Orthoptera fauna. Beside the above mentioned advantages the collection has also historical values, preserving the traces of previous researchers such as Antal Gebhardt, László Móczár and Sándor Pongrácz.
