Buildings and publications in the service of tourism in Pécs 1930-1945

This paper provides an overview of the former writings of the Tourist Agency of Pécs in accordance with the criteria set out in the title. The Tourism Office assured the audience of events with cheap trains and titled „Filléres Gyors” information paper. The local artists were employed in the making of city’s new facilities, monuments promotional guidebooks, brochures and posters. In 1941, they also helped for the local artists with an album („így láttjuk Pécset”) and a postcard-sized booklet. From 1931 they organized musical church events („Ünnepi hetek”) with casual stage and Milla Sollemnis between

1936-1938.

These program guides, memorial cards and posters of this events got uniform graphical look and they got help from metropolitan theater people. The tickets of accommodations and organized trips got demanding graphics as well. The sáling of local products were in incidental tents and pavilions on the festival site, Sétatér. They recommended the value of Mecsek and sport facilities in cartoonish, small travel guide with illustrated little drawings.
