Állattani gyűjteményeink A jelenleg elfogadott rendszer szerint nyolc törzscsoportra (superphylum) osztott valódi szövetes állatokból osztályunk csupán a fajokban leggazdagabbakból, illetve a legismertebbekből rendelkezik, főleg dél-dunántúli példányokból összeállított gyűjteménnyel. III.Superphylum: Mollusca - puhatestűek, Gastropoda — csigák és Bivalvia-kagylók. A 120 fajhoz tartozó, mintegy 4.500 gyűjteményi egységből álló puhatestű gyűjtemény elsősorban déldunántúli példányokat tartalmaz. 5. kép: Puhatestű gyűjteményünk egyik doboza Alapjait Gebhardt Antal (1887-1968) hozta létre, majd az osztály későbbi munkatársai gyarapították. Singer István pécsi magángyűjtő 2000-ben adományozta múzeumunknak, főleg látványos tengeri csigahéjakból álló, elsősorban kiállítási célra kiválóan alkalmas, 1.200 példányos gyűjteményét. V. Superphylum: Articulata - szelvényes állatok, Arthropoda ízeltlábúak-törzse. Az egész állatvilágot figyelembe véve a legtöbb fajt (több mint 1 milliót, hazánkból mintegy harminc ezret) tartalmazó állattörzs, amelynek hozzávetőlegesen 90%-a researchers, and thanks to Balázs Kevey, who donated to the museum his herbarium of very many Hungarian rarities. Zoological Collection According to the currently accepted classification, our department contains only those animals with true tissues which are the most abundant and best-known species of the eight superphylums. The collection is primarily composed of examples from Southern Transdanubia. Superphylum III: Molluscs, Gastropods - snails and Bivalvia-shells. The mollusc collection of 4,500 items from 120 species is primarily made up of examples from Southern Transdanubia. The basis was created by Antal Gebhardt ( 1887-1968) and expanded by later colleagues. 5: one of the boxes from our mollusc colllection In 2000 the private collector István Singer donated to the museum his 1,200-piece collection, which mainly consisted of spectacular sea shells, primarily eminently suitable for exhibition. Superphylum V: Articulata - segmented animals Arthropods If we consider entire animal kingdom (more than 1 million species, of which 30,000 can be found in Hungary), this phylum contains the most species, of which an estimated 90% are insects. Our insect collection is our laregest, both in respect of examples (around 500,000) and numbers of species (approximately 6,000 species), and over the past 30 years, thanks to well-organised field research, it has also developed and expanded the most, primarily with respect to the following orders:
