tendenciák, jelenségek a 100 restaurátoraink tevékenységét mutattuk be, gyalogos túrákat szerveztünk a Keleti-Mecsektől a barcsi borókásig a természeti értékek bemutatására. Hazai muzeális, műemléki, néprajzi és természeti kincseink alaposabb szakmai megismertetésére 2-3 napos kirándulásokra kerítettünk sort, de fontosnak tartottuk a határon túli magyar közösségek naprakész megismertetését is a tagsággal, akár a Drávaszögben, Vajdaságban, Erdélyben vagy Burgenland területén. Az 1990-es évek elején egyesületté szerveződött TKM mozgalom pecsételő helyei közül számtalan található Pécsett és Baranya megye területén, közülük számos múzeumi kiállításainkat jelöli meg. A TKM Kiskönyvtári sorozatának immáron 730 megjelentetett kötete közül is jelentőségének és értékének megfelelően - sok mutatja be megyénk kincsei mellett pécsi muzeális gyűjteményeinket, a Zsolnay Kerámia Kiállítástól a Múzeum utca egyedi művészeti kollekcióin át a Várostörténeti Múzeum épületének történetéig. Az 1990-es években egyesületi formát öltő mozgalom mintegy 8-10 ezer főnyi tagságával a múzeumi hálózathoz legközelebb álló civil szervezet az ismeretterjesztés terén. Az 1980-as évek második felétől Hétvége a Múzeumban címmel szerveztünk rendezvényeket; gyakorlatilag a hétvégék minden napján részt vehettek az érdeklődők valamelyik múzeumi kiállításunkban vagy a szakmánk szempontjából fontos külső helyszínen szervezett programon. Csupán egy sajátos eseményt említünk itt meg; a Baranyai konyha címen 1987-ben megjelent könyv szerzői között munkatársaink; Begovácz Rózsa és Sarosácz György is szerepelt. By the 1990s the movement, now a society of 8-10,000 members, had become the non-government organisation closest to the museum network in the sphere of dissemination. From the second half of the 1980s we organised a series of events called A Weekend at the Museum; in effect people could join in visits to all museum exhibitions or externally organised events important to the profession.
