A jezsuita misszió alapítóját, a 16. században élt Xavéri Szent Ferencet szerzetesi öltözékben, bonyolult ikonográfiái apparátussal ábrázolja. A feszülettel kezében alvó szentnek álmában Krisztus vértanúságának eszközeit (három szöget és a töviskoronát), illetve az ártatlanságot jelképező liliomot mutatja fel két puttó. Az angyalkákat hordozó felhőből kicsapó villámok, s a viharban hánykolódó hajó a kelet-ázsiai térítés (Goa, Japán, Kína) küldetésének viszontagságaira utal. A kép és néhány társa egyszerre került a gyűjteménybe. Az 1952-es leltárkönyv sem a származást, sem a szerzés módját nem tűnteti föl. Várkonyi György I the technique of miniature painting.
