A Természettudományi Osztály történetéből 101 The History of the Natural Histtory Department Mammalia - Emlősök Létszámuk a bőrbe tömött kisemlösökkel együtt nem éri el a százat, kiállítási célokra teljesen megfelelnek, többségük a mostani időszakos kiállításainkban található. Exhibitions: Permanent exhibitions: 1904, 1935, 1947, 1951, 1966, 1982. When there were permanent exhibitions there were no temporary exhibitions in the department building due to the lack of space; however, a number were organised by museum staff in other locations. Since the year 2000, there have been 30 temporary exhibitions at 2, Szabadság Rd., either following each other or simultaneous; while this might be attractive to visitors, due the constant element of novelty, the reason behind it is that a permanent exhibition would require the utilisation of the entire building, and as yet no sources have been found to cover the costs of the necessary renovation. All of our research has taken place in the form of "fieldwork projects," the results of which can be read either in the "Janus Pannonius Múzeum Évkönyve"
