Data to the knowledge of the buprestid fauna (Coleoptera: Buprestidae) of Hungary. József MUSKOVITS, Gábor HEGYESSY & Nikola RAHMÉ Since the long time after the publication of KASZAB (1940) nobody has published any general work on Hungary's buprestid fauna. In this work we publish the species which are new to the Hungarian fauna, and the species omitted from the Hungarian fauna, too. Most of the new species are really new to the Hungarian fauna, so they occurred the first time after 1940 on the territory of the present Hungary. These species are the folio wings: Sphenoptera petriceki, Lampra dives, Lampra mirifica, Palmar festiva, Eurythyrea aurata, Kisanthobia ariasi, Melanophila acuminata, Phaenops formaneki, Anthaxia plicata, Anthaxia semicuprea, Anthaxia suzannae, Anthaxia istriana, Anthaxia similis, Chrysobothris igniventris, Meliboeus graminioides, Meliboeus subulatus, Agrilus guerini, Agrilus kubani, Agrilus viscivorus. Only because of the change from subspecies to species are „new" the followings: Agrilus delphinensis, Agrilus populneus, Agrilus Salicis. About ten species living in Hungary according to KASZAB (1940), we cleared up that they haven't been living probably in the territory of the present Hungary, so we omitted them from the fauna list. The omitted species are the followings: Dicerca moesta, Buprestis splendens, Phaenops knoteki, Anthaxia rossica, Anthaxia lucens, Anthaxia sepulchralis, Meliboeus episcopalis, Agrilus calcicola, Agrilus mendax and Agrilus viridicaerulans rubi. (It is to be noted that apart from these ten species the Anthaxia umbellatarum published by KUTHY (1896) and the Anthaxia scutellaris published by CsiKl (1909-1915) are to be deleted from the Hungarian fauna, but they weren't mentioned by KASZAB (1940) either.) At present 118 species and subspecies are undoubtedly members of the Hungarian buprestid fauna, because we don't consider the species imported with their foodplants or those got on the fauna list because of the false literature data.
