The most detailed analysis was made on the fauna of Szőce and its environs, Western Hungary (NÓGRÁDI 1987, 1989). by the authors and other colleagues in the catchment area. The collecting sites are shown on Figs. 1-2, the geographical situation of light traps on Fig. 3 are shown. Materials and methods Results: list of the material The Trichoptera collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum was determined and revised in the past years by the authors. This material contains a few species from the area examined (NÓGRÁDI 1989). In the eighties further samples were carried out around the lake Balaton and its catchment area mostly by the authors. Light traps were set out close to the lake at Fonyód, Tihany (Sajkod) and Balatonudvari. By the newly constructed artifical lake Kisbalaton a light trap also functionned in 1988. These four traps had collected significant material. In the catchment area the most important investigations were carried out in the environs of the lake Baláta, County Somogy (Somogyszob-Kanizsaberek) and the Boronka Landscape Protection Area. The data of this collecting site are very recently published by NÓGRÁDI and UHERKOVICH (1992). Further material elaborated in the present paper were collected In this chapter all species found in the studied area are enumerated with their collecting sites. The data are divided into two parts by an asterisk. The first section contains the historical data, and our results are listed in the second part (locality, dates, number of specimens and collector). The applied system and nomenclature is based on BOTOSANEANU and MALICKY (1978).
