Természettudományok - Bálint Zsolt: A Kárpát-medence boglárkalepkéinek revíziója (Leipodtera, Lycaenidae)

62 Revision of the lycaenid butterflies of the Carpathian Basin (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae) Zsolt BÁLINT The author gives the revised systematic list of the lycaenid butterflies occuring in the Carpathian Basin. He establishes, that five subspecies of Carpathian lycaenids are not separable from the related, earlier described taxa, so these are subjectiv synonims: Lycaena dispar rutila (Werneburg, 1864) = Lycaena dispar hungarica Szabó, 1956, syn. n. Lycaena (Heodes) virgaureae balcanicola (Graves and Hemming, 1928)=Lycaena virgaureae pyronitens Szabó, 1956 syn. n. Glaucopsyche (Maculinea) alcon xerophila (Berger, 1946)=Maculinea alcon curiosa Szabó, 1956, syn. n. Glaucopsyche (Maculinea) alcon sevastos (Rebel ez Zerny, 1931)=Maculinea alcon limitanea Bálint, 1985, syn. n. Polyommatus thersites alexins (Freyer, 1834)—Lysandra thersites pergrata Szabó, 1956, syn. n. He designates the Lectotype and Paralectotype specimen of the following taxa, because it was omitted to be done: „Lycaena dispar hungarica" (Szabó 1956, Folia ent. hung. rX(SN): 302.). „Lycaena virgaureae pyronitens" (Szabó 1956, Folia ant. hung. DC(SN): 299.). „Lycaena hippothoe sumadiensis" (Szabó 1956, Folia ent. hung. LX(SN): 304.). „Lycaena Bavius var. Hungarica" (Diószeghy 1913, Rovart. Lap. 20: 108.). „Plebeius sephirus kovácsi" (Szabó 1954, Folia ent. hung. VII(SN): 36.). „Plebeius sephirusproximus" (Szabó 1954, Folia ent. hung. VII(SN): 36.). „Lysandra thersites pergrata" (Szabó 1956, Folia ent. hung. IX(SN): 286.). The í/íyras-population of the Eastern- and Southeastern Carpathians are not consubspecific with ssp. subalpinus (Speyer), as were mentioned by Popescu-Gorj (1947 and 1980) and Capuse and Kovács (1987). These populations represent a new subspecies, what is described by the author under the name Lycaena (Heodes) tityrus argentifex ssp. n. Subspecific characters of argentifex ssp. n. compared with the nominate subspecies: - larger (length of forewing 13-16,5 mm) male - upperside ground colour blackish brown, softly marked with black spots - fringes brilliant white - hindwing submarginal lunules absent or only in slb-c - underside ground colour silvery grey, with large black spots - underside of forewing orange basal suffusion - submarginal orange lunules porminent, well developed female - resembles male, ground colour unicoloured brown on upperside, but some specimens with suffusion of orange colour, wings brightly marked on both sides The Carpathian data of the species Polyommatus eros (Ochsenheimer, 1808), Polyommatus escheri (Hübner, [18231), Polyommatus ripartii (Freyer, 1830), Aricia anteros (Freyer, 1830) and Aricia nicias (Meigen, 1830) wre based on mislabelled specimens.
