It is a common species along the streams of the Mecsek Mountains and other mountains of Hungary. All specimens of the Zselic Downs were taken on the transitional area between the Mecsek Mts. and the Zselic Downs. Some specimens were caught at Szentlőrinc, along the Bükkösd Stream. This is a slow stream but the larvae or pupae can be swept away by the current. Hydroptilidae Orthotrichia costalis Curtis, 1834 Csertő Aug. 19,1987 1 9, Lipótfa July 20,1987 1 9, Patosfa July 29,1986 2 cf,6 9, Santos Aug. 21-27,1987 2 9. Several locality data became known in this decade in South Transdanubia (Nógrádi and Uherkovich 1988). It is a well-distributed and not a rare species all over the country. Orthotrichia tragetti Mosely, 1930 Almamellék, Sasrét July 18-31, 1986 1 9, Csertő June 6, 1985 2 9, Sept. 16,1985 1 9, Patosfa July 29, 1986 1 сЛ 33 9. Nógrádi and Uherkovich (1988) reported five localities. Later it was collected on another sites, too. It is not a rare species. Hydroptila dampft Ulmer, 1929 Almamellék Sasrét July 18-31, 1986 1 cf. The first Hungarian occurrence was recorded by Andrikovics and Újhelyi (1983) from Lake Fertő. Later it has been captured at Lake Balaton, Barcs, Tekerés (Nógrádi 1986), and in 1988-89 we collected it at Kőszeg, Mezőtúr and Sarkad-Malomfok. The single specimen of Zselic was found in the light trap material of Almamellék-Sasrét (Fig. 5). Hydroptila forcipata Eaton, 1873 Lipótfa July 17,1987 1 9. The- first Hungarian voucher specimen was published by Nógrádi (1986). Since that time only one other specimen came to light, in the Zselic Downs.
