Természettudományok - Horvatovich Sándor: Pellérd futóbogárfaunája (Coleoptera, Carabidae)
PELLÉRD FUTÓBOG ARFAUNÄJA 13 Carabidae of Pellérd (Coleoptera) Sándor HORVATOVICH The investigated area - a circle with a diameter of 500 m - is situated in surroundings (5 kilometers) of the town Pécs (map). Its height above sea level is 120-130 m. This disturbed area (pollution of the town) consists of fish-ponds, bogs and well-watered marshy forest. A total of 75 species of ground-beetles have been found. The materiel was collected from 1978-80 by the author and his assistant Joseph Sár. At the collectings we used the following methods: singling and sifting. About the interesting species: 1. Car abus clathratus Linnaeus ssp. auraniensis Müller. It is a local and rare species of marshy woods in Hungary. 2. Bembidion fumigatum (Duftschmid, 1812). It is a rare halophilous and termophilous species. 3. Bembidion biguttatum (Fabricius, 1779). This species - living in marshy areas - is rather rare in Hungary. 4. Trechus obtusus Erichson 1837. Its main distribution-area is in Western Europe and in Northern Africa. After the revision of materials of Natural History Museum in Budapest and Janus Pannonius Museum in Pécs, it is only known from 7 localities in Hungary. It prefers wet, shady soils. 5. Dicheirotrichus rufithorax (Sahlberg, 1817). Pellérd is the third locality where it occours in Hungary. Probably it is more distributed because it makes burrows in the moist soil. In Sweden it is predominantly synanthropic, in Central Europe the species prefers sandy soil. 6. Trichocellus placidus (Gyllenhal, 1827). Its known distribution in Hungary consists of 3 localities : Sopron (Lake Fertő), Debrecen and Pellérd. It lives in marshy areas, its main distribution occupies Northern Europe. 7. Amblystomus niger. Heer 1838. It is only known in Hungary from 11 localities. It was not collected in the National Park of Kiskunság. It prefers warm and wet areas. 8. Pterostichus cylindricus (Herbst, 1785). This species prefers a rather warm climate. In Hungary its known distribution is uncontinuous, it was not collected in Hortobágy and Kiskunság National Parks, in Bakony Mountains and in Bátorliget.
