The considerably burnt black rubble around the middle of the area (—50 cm) offered numerous finds and M. Aurelius coins. Our small-sized trial trench dug along the E side of wall Wl had brought to light the foundation of the wall: — 120 cm measured from the top of the wall. We found no traces of a wall connected with wall Wl at a right angle and separating room F from the rooms N of it in either block IV or in block VI. However, the deteriorated floorings, the combustion residues and the rich early-period finds may in all probability be related to the deterioration of one-time rooms in this area. The majority of the stray 3rd century coins have also come to light in this area (№ 2, 4,10—14, 18). Block VI, COIN find: No. 1. ARTICLES: Block VI, 0-50 cm: FRAGMENT OF DISH. Neutral coloured body fragment from „collared" dish of refined texture. OrangeCOIN No 1. (DM: 3,1 cm)
