Of square cross-section, with fiat, rectangular head. Ends angularly recurved, one of them looped. L: 8 + 2 and 7,7+3,2 cm. Th: 0,8-0,2 and 0,9 cm. Head: 2,2X1,9 and 2,4X1,8 cm. R.83.183.7. IRON BUCKLE. "Omega buckle". Circular, D-shaped in section, open. Both terminals flatly recurved. Tongue missing. L: 4,7, W: 4,1, DM: 0,5 cm. R.83. 183.8. (Cat. VI. № 303). IRON NAIL. Brick-coloured body frag­ment with brownish-green glaze on the exterior. 7X4,7 cm. Th: 0,8 cm. R.83. 184.7. (Cat. II. PA-№ 300). IRON OBJECT. Thin, flat band. One end tapered and looped with hammer. 6,7 cm from the end, the band was pierced with a 1 — 1,6 cm long nail. End of the nail bent az right angle. L of band: 12,8, W: 2,4, Th: 0,3 cm. Dimensions: N-S = 700 cm E-W = 570 cm Walls: N = W17/60 cm S - W40a/60 cm E = W40/60 cm W = W28/60 cm The removal of a thick layer of broken roof-tiles and burnt, limy debris in this room had revealed a further section of wall W40 running N and joining the N outer wall W17. During our search for the intersection we hit upon the outer ground level, and a stretch of the earlier stone wall was also discovered near wall W40 (Fig. 129.). Coin № 54 fell into the mortar during a previous resurfacing of the N wall W17.
