Room P2/a Dimensions : N-S = 500 cm E-W = 570 cm Walls: N - W40a/60 cm S = W16/60 cm E = W40/60 cm W = W28/60 cm The area of the room was covered with a thick layer of burnt roof-tiles, limy bricks and burnt debris. Wall W40, running N from the S wall W16, was squared after a 500 cm stretch, and wall W40a, branching off from it there, met wall W28 (cf. Fig. 126.). The 50X 120 cm oblong-shaped heap of stones found in the NE corner of the room was in all probability the remnant of an earlier stone wall (dating from the 1. period, contemporaneous with wall W19a). In the S part of the room the remnants of a brick-flooring with yellov mortar as binding material were discovered „in situ" in a 100X65 cm spot (it was doused with white lime !). In the S half of the room an approximately 20 cm thick deposit of loose, red clayey earth was removed from under a thick layer of burnt and broken roof-tiles. ANIMAL BONES: cf. Vörös, 1987.
