128 AUCÈ SZ. BÜRGER ceiling was uncovered fallen in, with a 10—15 cm thick layer of loose, black, burnt and ashy filling above it. The walls erected on the W side of the N and S sections of the heated corridor served for preventing the escape of hot air. Corridor L may have given access to the section of the corridor under the flooring 75 . The terrazzo level with burnt brick-bats (levels 6—7) under the large bazalt stone near threshold Td7 in room К we have left undisturbed. The coins found there date this level to the years between 337—361 A.D. The flag-paved courtyard (N), surrounded by a 300 cm wide corridor in the N, W and S, was unearthed in three stages : Oil (Block XIII) Figs. 2,110,116, 118-119.
