Dimensions of the full plan of the room excavated by sections: N-S = 460 cm E-W = 26,70 m Walls: N = W4/60 cm S = W2/60 cm E = Wl/65 cm W = W19/60 cm POINTS OF REFERENCE: 22 = 188,08 (Block III, room H, heap of stones) 23 = 188,19 (wall W4) 24 = 188,30 (room H, - level) The long room terminating the full width of the villa in the S was unearthed in two sections. Excavated first was the E section (room H). Wall Wl, terminating the portico in the E, also served as the E outer wall of the villa enclosing the room (F) with the large apse. In block III, a considerable part of wall Wl was found demolished till the depth of — 70 cm. A doorway to room F may be presumed in this section of the wall — the 8X8 cm square hole, the door-fittings etc. found in wall W4 all supported this assumption. The articles excavated from the E half of room H also included the remnants of a Roman window-glass. The massive stone wall dating from an earlier period and described in detail in the passages on room I above (cf. 88) was also discovered in this area, under wall W2. ANIMAL BONES: Vörös, 1987.
