Természettudományok - Nógrádi, Sára U.–Újhelyi, Sándor–Uherkovich, Ákos: Fundamental faunistic data on Caddisflies (Trichoptera) of South Transdanubia, Hungary

CADDISFLIES OF SOUTH TRANSDANUBIA 47 not been published in the Hungarian literature yet. The first and second localities are Szederkény and Magyarszombatfa (West Hungary). Micrasema setiierum Pictet. Вода (1936) published Micrasema minimum McL. by reason of larvae collected in the brook „Aszófői-patak" flowing into the Lake Balaton. A single male of Micrasema setiierum Pictet was captured on lamp by Á. Uherkovich along a fish-pond nearby Bares. It is a new species for the Hungarian fauna. Potamophylax luctuosus Pill, et Mitt. This species has been published from some localities of Carpathian Basin (Mocsáry 1900), but it has not had data on recent Hungarian area yet. Several specimens were collected in the Mecsek Mountains and nearby Szőce, West Hungary (Nógrádi 1984b). Platyphylax trauenieldi Brau. This „exceptionally rare" species (Boto?äneanu and Malicky 1978) was captured by light-traps nearby Bares and Magyarszombatfa (Újhelyi 1981b, 1981c). A new specimen, was discovered in an old, unexamined light-trap material from Bőszénfa, Zselic Hills. According to Malicky (1975) it may live in streams, whereas Újhelyi (1981b) regards as a moor-friend species. In our opinion this species lives in slow-streaming, small and clear, slimy bottomed waters. Chaetopteryx schmidi mecsekensis Nógrádi. The first Hungarian specimen of this species, occuring in the Southern Carpathians and in the Alps, was collected in the Valley „Nagy-mély-völgy", MeBoga L„ (1936) : Balatoni Trichopteron-álcákról. -Am. Évk. 28 (1983): 15-22. esek - Mountains by Nógrády (Nógrádi 1984a, 1984b). In 1983 big series had been collected on further localities of Mecsek Mts. and it has appeared that the local form represents a new subspecies. It has been described in the framework of the revision of Chaetopteryx rugulosa-group (Malicky et al. 1984). Summary From 70 localities of South Transdanubia 107 caddisfly species have been proved. The bulk the material was collected in the beginning of the eighties by mercury vapour bulbs and light-traps. 7 species proved to be new for the Hungarian fauna. These are: Synagapetus krawanyi Ulmer, Orthotrichia tragetti Mosely, Oxyethira ilavicornis Pictet, Hydroptila simulans Mosely, Micrasema setiierum Pict., Potamophylax luctuosus Pill, et Mitt, and Chaetopteryx schmidi mecsekensis Nógrádi. New data of other rare species are given. The examination of caddisflies of this area is to be continued in the following years. • * * Acknowledgements. The authors express sincere thanks to Dr H.
