Introduction and Opiinae JENŐ PAPP Sonthern Transdanubia is the northern part of the Zoogeographical circle Illyricum divided two districts as Praeillyricum and Sopianicum. Fifty four Opiine species are reported from Southern Transdanubia completed with their locality-data, number of the specimens and month-data as collecting time. Some species are characterized from the viewpoint of their distribution. The number of species of each Opiine genus is indicated as follows: Ademon 1, Opius 48, Eurytenes 1, Biosteres 2 and Diachasma 1 species. Faunistically the most interesting species are Opius aureliae Fi., О. celsus Hal., O.' hilaris Fi., О. rossicus Szépl., О. truncatus Wesm., Biosteres colorativentris (Fi.) and Diachasma graeffei Fi.
