The settlement of the Roman age villagers on our site is represented by the pit „c" and the pits 6, 16, 32. Migration-Period : Avarian cemetery: Unstratified finds from destroyed graves and the graves „a" —„f". Although the excavation was restricted to a small area, it resulted in the demonstration of all prehistoric cultures known from South-Transdanubia apart from the Linear Pottery culture and the Sopot —Bicske group, the classical Baden culture and the Kostolác group, the Tumulus culture and the Late Halstatt — Early La Tène cultures. It seems likely that some of the groups not represented by the excavation material so far also had been settled down in this place. The site must have been an important point on the road leading from the Danube along the creekvalley to the Mecsek mountains about 20 km north of the site.
