MOHÁCS-„PAPRIKA MALOM" (PAPRIKA MILL) Site and circumstances of discovery In 1966, according to the documentation-records preserved in the Kanizsai Dorottya Museum in Mohács some human bones were found in a pit (D : 2 m) which was dug 4—5 m farther from the NE corner of the paprika mill and from the mill-race. A pot and some „tiny coloured beads" were found together with the human bones (Fig. 13). Description of find (Fig. 19. D) Wheel-made, light-grey pot made of medium refined clay, with everted rim; the pot is decorated with incised bundles of stright and wavy lines and there are vertical traces if burnshing on its neck. MOHÁCS-„TÉGLAGYÁR" (BRICK-WORKS) Site and circumstances of discovery In 1949, when exploring a cementery from the lOth-llth century at Mohács, G. Fehér excavated an Avar period grave (grave 3) on the same site. The site is situated on the SW part of the territory of the brick-works (Brick-works no 1. of the „Baranya megyei Téglagyári ES" in 50. Budapesti országút) which is on the E side of the highroad leading from Mohács towards Budapest. The excavated area is situated E of the kilometre stone 191. According to the military map of 1864 there used to be a high hill wich was totally demolished during digging for clay (Figs. 13—14).
