E-mail: otvosne@ddnp.kwm.hu ÖTVÖS, KÁROLYNÉ: The Pintér garden Abstract: The Pintér garden is situated in Pécs, on the hill of Tettye. On the western slope of a range of hills, Mecsek, the botanical garden was shaped by János Pintér, planting the territory with trees and shrubs from every corner of the world - primarily evergreen species. On the basis of the rich and valuable plant life of the garden - the rare orchid species characteristic of the hills of Mecsek -, the occurring animal species, as well as its values of cultural history and dendrology, presently the garden belongs to the Western Mecsek Landscape Protectional Region. As the manager of the garden, it is the task of the Duna-Dráva National Park Directorate to conserve the stocks and habitat of the Mecsek karst shrub forest (Inulospiraei-foliae - Quercetum pubescentis), the Silver Lime debris slope forest (Tilio tomentosae - Fraxinetum orni ) present in its area, as well as to guard the protected plant species and rare, old plant entities also present. The study includes the description of natural plant associations occurring in the garden, together with a list of its native and introduced species. Keywords: indigenous, non-native, natural plant cohabitations, gymnosperm, angiosperm, the arboreal, the herbaceous Bevezető A Pintér-kert Pécs belterületén található, a Tettyén, (Pécs, Tettye tér 9.) mely a pécsiek kedvelt kiránduló és pihenőhelye. A kert kiterjedése 1,8 ha, tengerszint feletti magassága: 233-270 mBf. A Mecsek déli lejtőjén terül el. A Tettye-forrás közvetlen szomszédságában, részben annak vízgyűjtő területén helyezkedik el. Éghajlata kontinentális, de az ún. szubmediterrán hatások (rövid tél, korai tavaszodás, tavaszi-őszi csapadékbőség) is gyakran érezhetők itt. Talaja a meredek, mészköves lejtőkre jellemző sziklás-köves váztalaj és rendzina. A kert történetét legfőbb jellemzőit többen is feldolgozták (KUKÁI 1979, BÖSZÖRMÉNYI és mtsai 1997a,b, LEHMANN 2000, BOZSITS és mtsai 2003, LÖFFLER 2007, ÖTVÖS 2004) A kert fa és cserjekatalógusát Debreczy Zsolt és saját felmérései alapján Vöröss László Zsigmond 1974-ben készítette el, majd a kert növénytaxonjait Lájer Konrád (2002) is vizsgálta. Jelen tanulmány a korábbi felmérések és saját több éves megfigyeléseim alapján készült.
