A probe into the spiritual life of prehistoric people, a reflection of shamanism in archaeology Sets of anthropomorphic statuettes, models of „houses" In the Cucuteni-Tripyije / Tripolje cultural circle, there are sets of anthropomorphic statues and models of altars, tables, chairs, and the like, which have been carefully stored in pots or in „home" models, perhaps in sanctuaries or in actual ground plan of such buildings. Set of statuettes (FIG. 13) from Poduri-Dealul Ghindaru (Pre Cucuteni phase, 4900-4750 BC) and Isaiia-Balta Popii in Romania were stored in vessels. The find of Poduri-Dealul Ghindaru was discovered in ground plan of a burned sanctuary (Monah - Dumitroaia 2005, Fig. 8.16). In some sets of these statues, their numbers are very interesting. In Poduri-Dealul Ghindaru there were 13 larger painted female statues sitting on chairs, two without a chair and six smaller non-painted female statuettes. Seventy fve figurines were found in the house in Scânteia, and another 24 anthropomorphic statuettes in a feature on this settlement. A very interesting find comes from the settlement of Dume§ti (phase Cucuteni A3, 4200-4050 BC). Twelve anthropomorphic statuettes, six female figurines and six male (6 pairs) were placed in a Fig. 13. Poduri - Dealul Ghindaru, Romania.
