8: 20; Jn 5: 27 etc). It is therefore very likely that the symbolic sacred marriage (old farmers associated it with plowing and sowing, 21 March is the spring equinox) had to be succeed by nine months as an important moment of birth (24 December; 21 December is the winter solstice). It is the biblical Annunciation, after which comes Archangel Gabriel as the wooing announcer of the Lord with these proverbial words (L 1: 26-38). Easter is traditionally the largest Christian religious holiday. The time of Easter includes the Crucifixion, but especially the Resurrection, which proves immortality, the eternal life. The Resurrection symbolizes the cyclicality not only on Earth but in the sky (firmament). This moment is also very important for the formation of the oldest laws for organization of the old society (Kovárník 1997, 29, 58). For example, the sixth king of the Old Babylon empire Hammurabi adopted Code by the god of the Sun Shamash (Samas). The prophet Moses received the law boards from the Lord on the Mount Sinai (Ex. 24: 12) etc. The two dates are thus included in these important biblical stories, the vernal equinox and the winter solstice, both very important for old agricultural societies. Knowledge of the remaining two link the positions of the Earth to the Sun, the autumnal equinox and the summer solstice, evidenced in the Bible, to the personage of the last prophet of the Old Testament and the first New Testament prophet John the Baptist, with the participation of his mother St. Elizabeth (L 1: 36-45, 56-57). We know that The Birth of Jesus Foretold, at the time of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Elizabeth was in her sixth month of pregnancy (L 1: 26-38). The conception of John the Baptist, the great forerunner of Christ, was a half year earlier at the time of the autumnal equinox (23 September) and his birth on the day 24 June, Midsummer Day and Night (21 June is the date of the summer solstice). All these facts are based on the limit position of the Globe in its orbit around the sun. The Neolithic Farmers certainly watched four seasons and associated changes in nature. Notes about the astronomical orientation of the rondels in South Moravia (the southeastern part of Czech Republic) Bëharovice, Znojmo district (Fig. 1) Sometimes it is envisaged that a 7° departure from the east might also be associated with the observation of the full moon on the equinox (Rajchl 1999, 258). Bulhary, Breclav district It is possible that the entrances to the rondel can be oriented by sunrise on the vernal equinox. The 107
